Software: ClipMate Clipboard Extender 7.5.26

Review: ClipMate has been around for many years and I've been a registered user since year one. Unfortunately it seems that ClipMate may be finally going out to pasture as it's been dying a slow death due to the advancements in Windows and the author not having the time, desire, or capability to learn 64 bit Delphi programming. Whatever the case may be, ClipMate remains a 32 Bit program and as Windows advances it's leaving ClipMate behind.

The ClipBar problem described by the other reviewer was actually fixed back in 2010 but with Windows 8.1 being released and once again killing the ClipBar it doesn't seem there is much hope that it will be fixed again. Around the same time that Windows 8.1 was released, the ClipMate user forums were closed. It's just speculation but I suspect that the forums were closed due to the newly introduced problems with ClipMate, it's ClipBar and Windows 8.1 and the author not wanting to have the forum flooded with posts about incompatibility of ClipMate and Windows 8.1.

I really do hope that the author of ClipMate is able to pull enough time, desire and dedication together to rescue ClipMate from the world of abandon-ware because ClipMate has always been the best clipboard extender in existence. I wish that Microsloth [sic] would've taken a clue from ClipMate because the Windows Clipboard by itself is an abysmal failure. If you've ever used ClipMate in it's 100% functional state you would be shocked at how bad the Windows Clipboard actually is.
