&Update:& & &- Plug in the AC cord and make sure the STANDBY LED illuminates.& &- Double click the “ILAFPJ2013_UP_GRADER.exe” file in the “upgrader_1button” sub-folder& &1. Select the appropriate COM port.& &2. Click the “…” Browse button to locate and select the “Main_u83_2.srec” update file in the “MainUpdate_u83_2” folder.& &3. Click the “Write all flash” button.& &- The STANDBY indicator will change to green during the update:& &- This update will take approximately 3 minutes to complete. You should see the screen on the right during the update process.& &- After the update is finished, the complete window will pop-up. Also, the projector will be in STANDBY mode, with only the STANDBY LED illuminated.& &4. Click the ‘OK’ button in the complete window, and then close the ILAFPJ2013_UP_GRADER program.& &5. Unplug the AC cord and wait a few seconds for the STANDBY LED to turn off.& &6. Disconnect the RS-232C cable from the projector. 7. Plug in the AC cord and power ON the projector.& & &Note: & &Remove all cables from the projector prior to starting this procedure with the exception of the power cable. & &About Projector Firmware:& & Install this firmware package and projectors can benefit from higher image quality, improved performance and stability, various fixed issues encountered throughout the unit’s lifetime, as well as several other changes. &Still, if you wish to apply this release, it would be best if you first read and understand the installations procedure; also, perform this task using a fully-charged battery or in a steady power environment (such as the one ensured by a UPS unit), and only after you have familiarized yourself with the update steps.& &Bear in mind that, while the firmware is upgrading, it isn’t recommended to use the projector’s buttons, or interrupt the process in any way; doing so can cause serious malfunctions to the device and might even render it unusable.& &That being said, if you intend to update to this release, click the download button, get the package and update the firmware version.
