Intel Network Adapter Driver 26.1 for Windows 10 64-bit

What's New in This Release:

- Linux and FreeBSD support for the Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-2C-Q2
- QinQ support
- NVM Update using devlink: Kernel versions 5.10 and later are needed for full devlink support using NVMUpdate
- FreeBSD RDMA driver for Intel Ethernet Controller 800 Series devices
- The Microsoft Windows download package has been split into a driver package and a Intel PROSet package. You can still download the entire release all in one package.

Intel Ethernet 800 Series Fixed Issues:

- Linux Driver: When the XDP program is loaded in native mode, a system crash might occur.
- Linux Driver: On Intel Ethernet E810-2C-Q2, you may see errors when there are more than 128 queues per traffic class.
- Linux Driver: The rx_gro_dropped statistics was removed and is no longer accounted for in rx_dropped netstats.
- Linux Driver: Until the system is rebooted, you may see a loss of traffic following an NVM Update. Rebooting the system resumes traffic.
- Linux Driver: The Intel ice driver interrupt moderation mechanism now utilizes the kernel DIMLIB library. This change has shown improvement across many workloads including large packet latency and UDP streams. Note that the ice driver from Release 25.6 (and earlier) does not have this change.
- Linux Driver: Unified Ethtool Statistics was added to Linux driver starting from Release 25.5.
- Windows Driver: On some platforms, an Intel Ethernet E810 OCP-based device might not retain link when the platform is powered down. The device regains link when the platform is powered up. Sending a Magic Packet to such a device does not wake the system.
- Windows Driver: Under heavy stress on Windows Server 2019, customers might see Event 260: "Failed to move RSS queue from VMQ.." in the system event viewer. This is due to the driver not moving a particular queue in time for it to move to a new CPU. This is a non-fatal message and traffic is still processed as expected.
- Linux RDMA Driver: In RoCEv2 mode, running the perftest ib_send_bw benchmark application with high QP count, rdma_cm, and the duration option might occasionally result in a Destroy QP Cmd Error and a device reset.
- NVM Update Tool: In ESXi, the device serial number appears as N/A.
- NVM: A workaround was added to prevent Errata "Device Fails to Initialize PCIe Link After Reboot".
- FreeBSD Driver: The FreeBSD ICE driver might show the wrong media type (25GBASE-AOC) for 25G-LR/SR optics when the advertise_speed parameter is set to 164 (1G+10G+25G).

About Ethernet Drivers:

Windows platforms generally apply a generic driver that allows motherboards to recognize the Ethernet component.

However, in order to make use of all network card (adapter) features, you must install a proper LAN driver that enables the hardware. This task enables systems to connect to a network, as well as collect all component characteristics such as manufacturer and chipset.

If you intend to update the driver version, know that this process can add support for new OSes, fix different compatibility problems, resolve related errors encountered during the product's lifetime, as well as include various other changes.

When it comes to the actual installation procedure, we should note that most producers try to make it as easy as possible, so following the steps should be a breeze: just get the downloadable package, run the setup, and follow the on-screen instructions.

There is a chance that other OSes could also be suitable, but it is not advisable that you install this release on platforms other than the specified ones. Remember to perform a system reboot once done, to allow all changes to take effect properly.

Therefore, if you wish to apply this version, click on the download button and enable your network card. To stay up to speed with the latest updates, check back with our website as often as possible.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
