Modular Installation

With the latest update to iCUE, we have changed how iCUE will be installed and updated. With iCUE’s new modular infrastructure, it will no longer consist of a single large package. Instead, users will be downloading a very small installer that, when started, will uninstall existing versions of iCUE and automate the downloading and installation of the necessary modules.

To address the previous experience of iCUE having a large footprint (3+ GB), we have streamlined the experience by only installing what is required to support your products. For example, if iCUE only detects a K100 RGB Air Wireless keyboard, then the software will only download two modules: iCUE Core and the K100 RGB Air Wireless module.

As a result, iCUE will no longer need to host the files to support products you currently do not own yet and will now only take up a fraction of the hard drive space compared to previous versions.

If in the future, you add more iCUE products for your setup, iCUE will automatically detect them and install the additional modules you need for the products to be fully supported. Users will also be able to choose and install specific third-party plugins from our partners that share our ecosystem.

After this update, iCUE will no longer require a complete uninstallation and installation of the software. Instead, you will only be prompted to update if there are changes to your modules or if you have new products that are supported in iCUE.

We are confident that this change to iCUE will make our platform flexible and efficient, as we continue to both improve the features in the software and make your experience a memorable one.

Software Enhancements:

- Resolved an issue with some text not being translated in the Installer
- Resolved an issue that prevented the installation process from starting if a different language is selected
- Resolved an issue that prevented some modules from being deleted
- Icons will no longer be skewed after deleting a profile with a custom image
- iCUE will no longer crash upon waking up from sleep if “Monitor Screen” is selected as a Mural
- Removing favorited Murals will no longer cause the device layout to reset to default
- iCUE for macOS will now properly uninstall
- Profile icon images will no longer be blurred in Murals
- Additional GPU sensors are now available for NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards
- SoundID plugin has been updated

HID Product Enhancements:

- iCUE NEXUS and VOYAGER laptop users will now be able to assign different colors to both the text and the graph for their sensors

DIY Product Enhancements:

- Users with CORSAIR DDR4 memory that has corrupted SPD values from a previous iCUE bug will be notified in the software to proceed with an RMA exchange to resolve the issue
- iCUE LINK Hydro Coolers predefined curve presets for custom cooling now matches the actual curve data for the Quiet/Balance/Extreme presets
- Lighting Setup and Device Settings are now available as tabs for the iCUE LINK System Hub
- iCUE will no longer crash if “Add to Home” option is used for Commander Core XT sensors in the Dashboard

To install this package please do the following:

- Click the Download button and follow the steps for saving the package on your computer.
- Save all work in progress and close open applications.
- Note for .ZIP archives: Extract the file and enter the newly-created directory.
- Locate and run the available setup file.
- Allow Windows to run the file (if necessary).
- Read and agree with the License Agreement to proceed with the installation process.
- Follow the instructions displayed on-screen.
- Close the wizard and perform a system reboot to allow changes to take effect.

About Headset Drivers:

When headsets are connected, the operating system usually installs a generic driver that helps the computer to recognize the newly attached device and to use its basic functions.

Naturally, if you want to have all developed features accessible, proper software must be applied. This task also allows computers to properly recognize all headset characteristics such as manufacturer, model, connection type, and others.

Updating the driver version might improve sound quality, resolve different issues encountered throughout the headset's usage period, provide you with new configuration options, and make various changes that enhance the unit's stability and compatibility.

To install this release, simply get the package, extract it if necessary, and run the available setup. Afterwards, follow the displayed instructions and, when done, perform a system restart and reconnect the headset to make sure that all changes take effect properly.
