Software: OpenOffice.org 4.0.1

Review: Most of the problems I see above, and my problems too are due to OpenOffice for Windows being compiled 32-bit. Clearly they can compile their software as 64-bit. OpenOffice has gone to the corner like much of the industry with it's opinion that 64-bit builds are not a benefit, ignoring that 32-bit software has to run in a shell, ignoring the fact that over 80% of new computers sold are shipped with 64-bit Operating Systems. What ever their reasons for not compiling 64-bit for 64-bit Windows, I don't care-- I see it as apathy. There's an old saying, "The right tool for the job".

Review: Worked well enough on XP 32 bit, but I can no longer support it on Win 7 64 bit. My numerous Base programs crash with every attempt to edit the underlying database.

The failures change with every "update" from MS so one might wonder if this is deliberate.

Review: Some issues, using on my WIn7 i5 system. Speed is not a problem, but 3.2.1 had some crashing problems involving the styles window (F11). Other than that, pretty solid. Went to the 3.3 beta to see if it was better: the new printing functionality is not ready for prime time. Does not remember settings.

Review: Guys,
This isn't 64bit software check the developers site. It can be made to work but even the developer says there's alot of twaeking that needs to be done to make it work on Windows 64 bit (any flavor)... There are 64 bit versions of this software FOR LINUX only!
