NeoBookDBPro provides NeoBook authors with the ability to quickly add advanced, professional database capabilities to their applications. NeoBookDBPro can be used to create and manage just about any type of database from a simple flat file address book to a complex, multi-user client-server application.

NeoBookDBPro uses ODBC and ADO technology to access a variety of database formats including Microsoft Access, MySQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Paradox, dBase and more. In fact, when properly configured with the appropriate ODBC driver, NeoBookDBPro can be used to access just about any type of database system.

Browse and edit database tables on-screen or use NeoBookDBPro behind the scenes to store and retrieve information. Data can be displayed in free form or customized grid formats. Easy-to-use actions include add, edit, delete, sort/index, query, import, export, print, display value lists, custom field formatting and more. Includes support for picture/blob fields, stored procedures, lookup tables, multi-user, and access to advanced SQL commands. NeoBookDBPro insulates you from the complexities of SQL, without sacrificing features. However, if you want to use SQL, NeoBookDBPro provides an option to do so.

The included Report Designer provides NeoBookDBPro users with the ability to create a variety of advanced database reports. The Report Designer utilizes a NeoBook-like interface allowing reports to be created interactively using simple drag and drop commands.

The appearance, formatting and placement of data is entirely customizable. Advanced reports can be designed to print mailing labels, lists, invoices, office forms complete with graphics and more. Finished reports can be previewed and printed from within your compiled NeoBook publication using live database data!

· Create customize catalogs to inventory music, DVD, photography, postage stamp, memorabilia or other collections. The catalog database can include photos of each item, a description, value, date acquired, location, or anything else you need.

For example, an application that generates web content could use a database to store a selection of clipart, page templates, JavaScript, etc. No need to update the application to add new source files - simply provide the user with a replacement database instead.
